Should You Use Webflow For Your Landing Pages?

webflow

A client posed this question the other day…

They use WebFlow for their corporate website.

It’s seamless, fast loading and fulfills all the purposes of a corporate website.

They asked if we could use WebFlow for their marketing funnel.

I told them, “No”.

Here’s why…

While WebFlow is great for a no-code platform for websites, it’s not good for marketing funnels or landing pages.

You don’t have a dedicated funnel you can build.

You can’t measure how people go from each step of the funnel to another step.

You can’t do split-testing without using an external platform

And you can’t effectively measure your ad performance in terms of leads and conversions (down to the contact level).

A funnel builder platform on the other hand allows you to just do ONE Thing:

Build funnels

Hence, it does an exceptionally good job of helping you track your funnel metrics in one place.

But remember, not all funnel building platforms are created equal.

There are many me-too funnel building or landing page platforms that don’t serve the purpose.

Example…

Lead Pages

Unbounce

Swipe Pages

They are great landing page platforms, but they don’t help you see your landing pages (or series of funnel pages) as a funnel.

When you can’t visualize everything into a funnel and review the journey, you can’t track your numbers. When you can’t track numbers, you can’t optimize – which leads to wasted ad spend and missed revenue.

That’s why you need a funnel builder platform that does all of this in house.

The platform I recommended was HighLevel.

Here’s why I recommended HighLevel…

It has a robust landing page/funnel building platform

Provides split-testing functionality at their basic plan at $97/month

Has an in-built CRM and form system to collect leads and send automated messages

Integrates with ad platforms to provide direct performance analytics

Sends webhooks to other CRMs and all other platforms, allowing for seamless integration

Eventually, the client decided to get GoHighLevel.

They are not going to use HighLevel as their CRM because HighLevel has certain drawbacks that will make it inefficient for their sales team.

But for their marketing pages, they are going to use HighLevel.

I have another client, where even though we’re not using a Funnel Builder platform, we’re using Hubspot to build and manage their landing pages.

For each client, it varies based on context and situation.

But whatever said, ultimately, if you want to optimize your customer journey and ensure the highest possible ROI, it’s recommended that you design an effective funnel using a funnel builder platform and use it to optimize the entire journey.
